Eat Well to Get Beautiful and Healthy Skin

Be it a man or a woman, everyone wants healthy-looking and glowing skin. And for achieving that, we use different kinds of cosmetic products which are mostly chemicals rather than natural. I was going through the same concern from the past few days and researched a lot. Finally, after gaining knowledge from different sources over the internet, I am bringing this post to you. So this post consists of tips to get blooming skin without using any cosmetics and just by eating the right food. Here we go:

Fresh fruits and vegetables contain antioxidants that protect skin from cellular damage. We should take at least five portions of fresh fruits and vegetal per day. Better to go for seasonal ones. Also, try to put different colours on your plate. You might be wondering what is the importance of vegetables/fruits colours?

Increase Your Water Intake

Water makes up about 50% to 70% of our body weight. Every organ, cell and tissue requires water to function properly and so do our skin. Now, how much water intake in a day is sufficient for the body? You may have heard that any person should drink at least 8 glasses of water per day. But what if your body feels dehydrated after drinking 8 glasses? Go and have 9, 10 or whatever amount it requires. Because our body’s water requirements are based on the climate we are living in, exercise, overall health, etc. Therefore, drink sufficient that you feel less thirsty. You may add lemon slice into your glass of water to get vitamin c too. Else, you may also have fruits with high water content like watermelon, kiwi, orange, etc.

Take Cod Liver Oil

If you’re a seafood lover, you’re already following this tip and getting sufficient omega 3 fatty acids which are available in most seafood especially codfish. Omega 3 fatty acids help the body in offsetting inflammation which can lead to skin cell damage.

there are also cod liver oil capsules available in the market. I am sorry if you’re a vegetarian and couldn’t have this. But Holland and Barret had an article on ‘How Vegans and Vegetarians can get omega 3?’ for you.

Avoid Highly Processed Foods

Consumption of excessive sugar including sugars in the highly processed foods can encourage loss of firmness, loss of elasticity and premature sagging and wrinkles on your skin, as per Ecowatch. Thus, next time you go for your grocery shopping, better to buy more natural stuff then highly processed foods.
