No doubt, it’s more than a year we all are trapping inside the home. With present spring and fast approaching of summer, we all are super excited to organise a picnic with friends and families. But are scared too. Please don’t worry! Picnics are good get together because you’re going to organise it either at your own garden or at a park. So what are you waiting for? Go for a picnic! but first read my post. 🙂
I am going to share with you few tips which will help you in organising a picnic in quick and easy way. First thing first, why do you need these tips? I know weekends are coming and everyone is busy in work from home or home schooling, why to lose a chance of enjoying weekends just because we haven’t planned anything? Let’s see how we can organise a quick picnic.
What do you Need for Organising Picnic?
Firstly, we require certain tools (I mean stuff) before organising a picnic. I know, most of you especially who are picnic freak, must be having these stuffs. But in any case, I don’t want you to miss these important things which are:
- A picnic basket
- A cooler or you may also buy a picnic bag with cooler compartment
- Few disposable cups, plates, bowls, etc
- A picnic blanket
- A pinic table, if required
- A water bottle
- A portable trash can or a garbage bin bag
- A knife, bottle opener, peeler, etc
Selecting a Picnic Spot
This is an easy task. You can either organise your picnic at home garden which is only option during lockdown or you can choose a nearby park. Just you need to keep in mind that you have to maintain a proper distance with nearby picnic party.
Also, search for a spot which is half in shade so that if you want to eat vitamin D, you can but without letting your stuffs stay in direct sunlight.
Yes, you can’t just sit and eat in your picnic. Of course, spending time with family is another motive of organising picnic especially if you have kids. Here are some options which are easy to carry and play:
Foods to Take
Now comes the toughest part; the picnic food. Picnic means you have to compromise on your storage space but not on your taste and health. I highly recommend to carry sandwiches, snacks, fruits and tiffin friendly meals. If you are health conscious which most of us are nowadays, you can take juice and salads as well.
Cucumber and Tomato Cheese Sandwich
Apply maynnaise on two slices of bread. Add slices of cucumber and tomatoes on one slice, sprinkle oregano, black pepper powder, salt and red chilli flakes (optional). Then add a cheese slice and cover with another slice of bread. Apply butter on a pan and roast this sandwich from both the sides. Sandwich is ready.
Scrambles Eggs with Spinach
Heat a teaspoon of oil in a pan. Add a clove of finely chopped garlic and a cup of roughly chopped spinach. Then add a pinch of black pepper powder, salt and a pinch of garam masala if you want. Break two eggs into a bowl, add black pepper powder and salt into it and whisk for a minute. Pour whisked eggs into the spinach mixture and stir continuously. Cook till eggs are completely cooked. Scrambled eggs with spinach is ready.
Veg Pasta Salad
Put cooked in a bowl. Sprinkle some salt, black pepper powder and oregano. Add olive oil and mix everything well. Stir in bell peppers, zucchini, cherry tomatoes, feta cheese and parsley. Salad is ready.

Last but not least. Always check weather before going on a picnic. However you can always use tents if the weather is unpredictable.
